We’re hiring an Office Administrator who will be based in our Lurgan office for 37.5 hours per week (though there may be some flexibility). Generally, our standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm.
It’s a fast paced, busy role with a variety of tasks.
At GCD, we have four key principles of responsibility:
You will demonstrate these responsibilities by:
Providing administrative support to the business
Providing personal assistance to our two Directors when required
Ordering and managing office supplies and equipment
Overseeing the office tuckshop
Making any necessary travel arrangements for staff
Managing the office cleaning contract
Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages)
Completion of any necessary statutory surveys
Greeting visitors and preparing for meetings in the office
Managing health and safety as well as fire regulations within the office
Negotiating and managing office insurance and utility bills
Maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Making any necessary bank deposits
Reconciling bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy
Maintaining and updating financial and business systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data
Assisting with month-end process
Managing aged debts
Manages office subscriptions
Liaising with external accountant
At least 2–3 years Office Administration experience
IT skills, for example Microsoft Office Suite/ Google Docs
Reliable and professional
A confident, approachable telephone manner
Possess a high level of numeracy and accuracy
Good communication skills
Ability to work alone or as part of a team
Experience of using a financial accounting package
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
It would be nice if you had:
A bookkeeping or similar qualification
Experience of using Xero accounting package
